Why is it important to seal my surfaces?
Sealed surfaces are more durable, easier to maintain and possess an increased ability to withstand moisture related problems. #JUSTSEALIT penetrates deep into a porous material, physically altering the surface tension. A permanent chemical bond is formed after 30 days resulting in a hardier and more durable surface.
Corrosion can occur on untreated natural stone, tile, concrete and grout by being exposed to various environmental elements. Damage can be caused by mould/mildew, efflorescence, salts in pool water or even just slightly acidic PH rain water.
Application of #JUSTSEALIT will reduce or eliminate the impacts of corrosion. Efflorescence presents as an unsightly white powdery salt haze, and can cause permanent damage to a porous material if not addressed. It is a common occurrence in both natural and man-made stone, but can be significantly reduced or even prevented by treating with #JUSTSEALIT sealants.
But it’s not just about durability, it’s about preserving the beauty of materials shaped by nature.
Natural stone has taken millions of years to form, and each piece tells a story. Concrete and other engineered materials, while man-made, are crafted with intention, from brutalist design to refined architectural detail. These surfaces deserve to be defended, not disguised.
That’s why #JUSTSEALIT leaves no plastic coating, no artificial sheen. It forms an invisible barrier that strengthens and protects without changing the look or texture. Whether it’s hand-trowelled concrete, honed limestone, or custom brickwork, your surface stays authentic, raw, and real, just how it was meant to be.
Invisible. Durable. Breathable. True to form.
How do I apply the sealant?
To ensure you apply your sealant in the most beneficial way, please follow these instructions and/or watch the application video.
Preparation
- Ensure surface to be treated is clean and bone dry.
- Application should only be completed if the surface temperature is between 10-30 degrees celsius.
- Test product in an inconspicuous area and allow 24 hours to ensure desired results are achieved prior to treating entire surface.
Application
- Apply one coat of undiluted sealant with a low pressure sprayer or a microfibre applicator from left to right. Do not use a roller.
- Immediately apply a second coat in the opposite direction.
- Together, this equates to two wet-on-wet coats.
- Ensure there is no excess or pooling.
- An additional wet-on-wet coat may be applied by repeating steps 1-3, to ensure complete coverage.
After sealing After sealing, ensure you follow best practice in the maintenance of your surface. Download our maintenance guide here.

What will it look like after applying the sealant?
Our sealants are designed to do one thing exceptionally well: protect your surfaces without changing their natural beauty.
We believe that architectural finishes like stone, concrete, and brick should be celebrated, not covered up. These materials are shaped by time - stone forms over millions of years under the pressure of the Earth itself. Why coat that history in plastic or gloss and make it look like something else?
That’s why #JUSTSEALIT dries completely invisible. No shine, no darkening, no artificial finish. Just the natural texture and character of your surface, with powerful protection that lasts.
- Water beads initially and eventually settles down as it cures.
- Stains are easier to remove.
- Surfaces stay cleaner, longer - while staying breathable and true to their origin.
You’ve chosen natural materials for their look, their feel, their story - and #JUSTSEALIT helps you preserve that, beautifully and effortlessly.

How long does the beading last?
Water beading is often visible in the early days after application. Over time, the beading may reduce or become less noticeable. That’s completely normal and does not mean the sealer has failed.
#JUSTSEALIT is not a surface coating. It penetrates deep into the material and forms a permanent chemical bond from within. The result is long-lasting protection against water, staining, efflorescence, and environmental wear, even if the surface no longer beads as it did on day one.
Beading will vary depending on the type and texture of the surface. Some surfaces show more visible beading than others. What matters is the performance beneath the surface - the material is still protected.
Our sealants are designed to preserve the raw, natural look of your materials, not mask them with a plastic-like film. The protection is real, even if you can’t always see it.
No shine. No residue. Just deep, durable protection that lasts.

How do I choose the right cleaner or sealer for my specific surface?
Head to our Products page and see our comparison chart. If you still have questions, get in contact with one of our friendly staff that can answer any specific questions you may have.
How do I prepare my surfaces before sealing?
Ensure material to be treated is clean and bone dry.
We recommend cleaning with our Stone Wash neutral PH cleaner and Stain Aid for any
organic stains. Ensure leaves and debris are removed during autumn months to mitigate algae growth.
Application of sealant
Apply one wet on wet coat (two coats applied at once). Applicate sealer left to right then immediately apply sealant in opposite direction - with low pressure sprayer and / or microfibre applicator, ensure there is no excess or pooling evident.
How long does it take for the sealer to dry and be ready for use?
The curing time is 28 days from initial application however once the sealant is visibly dry (usually 1-2 hours) light foot traffic is permitted.
After 24 hours furniture can be placed back onto the treated surface and allow 48 hours for vehicles. Pool water containing corrosive minerals and chemicals to be washed off immediately.
How much coverage will I get from the sealants?
All surfaces absorb sealant differently, however on average you can expect 1L to cover 10m2 / 108 sq ft. Always allow a little extra to ensure you have enough product for your application.
Please refer to our coverage guide for more accurate coverage rates.
If you are still not sure how much to buy, please get in contact with our friendly staff.
How long does the protection last?
Our sealers are designed to last indefinitely.
You can optionally reapply after 3–5 years to maintain peak performance, but they’ll never flake, yellow, or peel unlike traditional sealants.
Are your products resistant to weather conditions like rain and UV exposure?
Yes, our sealant technology is designed and tested to withstand the harshest of environmental conditions.
Does it seal cracks?
Yes, #JUSTSEALIT does seal micro cracks, which is a major benefit for the long-term health of your surfaces!
Consider cracks in paving or stone - these materials are often laid over reinforced slabs with steel underneath. When water infiltrates these cracks, it can reach the steel and cause rust over time. But that’s not all, moisture can also lead to efflorescence (the white, powdery salt deposits), staining, and even mould or mildew growth.
By sealing micro cracks, #JUSTSEALIT helps prevent water from penetrating and causing damage. This means you’ll not only protect against rust, but also reduce the risk of efflorescence, staining, and more, which can all compromise the integrity and appearance of your surfaces.
The less water that can get in, the longer your stone, concrete, or paving will stay beautiful, durable, and structurally sound.
Will it stop leaks?
While #JUSTSEALIT isn’t a structural waterproofing solution, it’s an excellent way to tackle leaks before committing to expensive, disruptive repairs like ripping up paving or installing complex waterproofing systems.
For areas like showers, balconies, or other surfaces with minor leaks, #JUSTSEALIT can seal micro cracks and prevent water from seeping through. Many customers have found it to be an effective, cost-efficient solution to reduce or even stop leaks, protecting surfaces from water damage and moisture issues.
It’s the perfect first line of defense to try, offering a fast and affordable way to extend the life of your surfaces, without the need for costly renovations.
Why spend on full-scale repairs when #JUSTSEALIT can often do the job?
Can I use your products on surfaces that have already been sealed by a different product?
Depending on the original sealant, our product can be applied over natural penetrating / impregnating sealants if the surface was thoroughly cleaned and prepped. If there was a physical acrylic / polyurethane coating or a wet-look sealant then this will need to be removed prior to application. Basically, if you can see a sealant, no, if you cannot, yes.
What is the difference between water-based and solvent-based sealers?
Water and solvent act merely as a carrier of active ingredients into a substrate, both will evaporate after impregnation occurs. Traditionally solvents were considered to be better as they allowed better depth of penetration, however with a global shift toward sustainability the focus has shifted and water-based technology has evolved.
